My name is Ari, I live and work in Ottawa, Canada.
Black Crow Photography is simply theĀ trade name for the work I do as a photographer. The Joni Mitchell song inspired the name, but crows and their raven cousins have a photographic memory, and I don't so it seemed apt.
I got my beginner camera from my father while living in Israel during the first Gulf War. After that I pursued a career in music, but came back to photography for good by the end of the 90s.
After a long time as a commercial photographer, I've taken up documentary and street photography. My first book in that genre is "There Are No Words", producedĀ in Israel in the aftermath of the horrific October 7 attacks.
I hope you enjoy your visit to this website!
